Today’s Workout

5 minute cardio/stretching warm up

15 prisoner squats

Barbell squats – 135 x 12, 185 x 8

Deadlifts – (overhand grip) 235 x 10, 285 x 5, (mixed grip) 335 x 1, 355 x 1 *PR

Setting a new one rep dead lift PR was nice although I still  am unhappy with my form.  It seems like no matter how much I think about making hip drive the core part of the movement, it feels like I first straighten my legs and then use almost all lower back to get it the rest of the way, especially as the numbers get big.

Well no matter how ugly it is getting there, if I can tack 10 more pounds onto my deadlift I will have accomplished another one of my goals, deadlift twice my body weight.  After that 400lbs would be in sight but my form needs to get way better.

All squats and deadlifts were in socks, it definitely is the way to go.
