Dufisthenics

It really seems that lately old men have been stealing the show when it comes to dumb, bizarre and downright gross behavior at the gym.  Today as I was again washing my hands before leaving there was yet another old man ready to enter the shower.  I actually know this guy from my days at Retro although I have never spoken to him.  I actually have mentioned him in the blog before for his strange and ineffective routine where he bounces reps incredibly fast with poor ROM and very light weight.  I never understood the point.

So anyway he was preparing himself to enter the shower stall.  However before stepping in he worked up a nice gross sounding loogie and proceeded to spit it on the floor of the shower.  WTF?  Why would you do such a thing?  Does standing in a diluted pile of your own spit and mucus have some sort of miraculous medicinal effect?  I added the act to the long and growing mental checklist of things I never hope to do as I get older.
