Dufisthenics

Today when I walked in the gym it was packed.  80% of the patrons were of social security collecting age and clogging up areas of the gym I was hoping to utilize.  About half way through the workout things started to thin out, I guess it was time for lunch. Although it is certainly annoying to deal with a crowded gym from an efficiency standpoint, from an entertainment standpoint it nearly makes up for it.  Everywhere you turn there is something amusing going on.

I did bicep and tricep work, doing my best to isolate each muscle group by using decent form and full ROM.  I have a hard time getting my numbers to move much in the upward direction.  I guess holding steady is better than a constant decline at this advanced age.

Today’s Workout

5 minutes cardio/stretching

10 high pull ups

Seated alternating dumbbell curls – 25lbs x 12

Flat bench hammer dumbbell tricep extensions – 25lbs x 10

Seated alternating dumbbell curls – 40lbs x 8

Flat bench hammer dumbbell tricep extensions – 30lbs x 10

Seated alternating dumbbell curls – 50lbs x 4

Flat bench hammer dumbbell tricep extensions – 35lbs x 7

Bent over dead hang dumbbell bicep curl – 30lbs x 10

Bodyweight dip x 15

Bent over dead hang dumbbell bicep curl – 35lbs x 10

Bodyweight dip x 15

Bent over dead hang dumbbell bicep curl – 40lbs x 8

Bodyweight dip x 15
